reminds me of an old chinese saying “一朵鲜花插在了牛粪上" which literally means a flower stuck upon a pile of cow dung owo"
but its also an old saying about a pretty girl getting stuck with a not so pretty guy ;P
my parents dressed up as the flower and cow dung for a friend's halloween wedding :D
